PIN Pads must be physically encrypted with an 'Injection Key' to take debit pin numbers and EBT cards.

The correct injection key will be provided by your bank or processor's technical support department. Also, previously injected equipment sometimes have the injection key information on the back of the PIN Pad or terminal.

A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is used to verify the identity of a customer during debit, EBT, and face-to-face EMV transactions. This protects both the merchant and the cardholder from fraudulent activity. The cardholder enters their PIN into the PIN pad or credit card terminal, and that PIN is then transmitted over the various card issuer networks, confirming the cardholders identity. For security purposes, the PIN is "encrypted" by the PIN pad or terminal before it is transmitted over the networks. Every card network uses their own encryption key--sometimes they have more than one--and that encryption key must be loaded, or "injected," into the PIN pad or terminal before it can successfully transmit PIN data and complete a PIN transaction.

All terminals come with one roll of paper. It is a good idea to purchase additional paper rolls so that you are stocked and ready for business. For your convenience, we sell paper rolls for all of the terminals we carry. You may purchase individual rolls, or cases of 50.

Only GPRS terminals come equipped with SIM Cards.

GPRS and CDMA are different network platforms on which cell phone providers base their technology. In the “credit card terminal world”, typically there is only AT&T and Verizon. Verizon has based their cellular data networks on the CDMA platform, while AT&T uses GPRS. In order to get the most efficient connection on your equipment, it would be a good idea to find out which providers have the most communication towers in your area. We typically have more GPRS than CDMA in our stock.

It is a terminal used with an IP Internet or phone line.
